MBFWA: Tan Suede Skirt

Winter staples straight from fashion week...

I haven't told many people yet but in just a few months I'll be moving across the world to little old London town! After 5 and a half years, I'll finally be graduating from University and will be able to finally break free! What's this got to do with fashion you ask? Well,  tan mini skirts are on everyone's wish list this winter. After obsessing with the tan leather mini from AJE that would have cost me an arm and a leg, this little spendthrift, saving for her overseas adventures, needed to find a less debt-inducing option. Enter, trusty Dissh. For a fraction of the price I chose this lil suede number with a cute lace-up front.

Then we took this sh*t to the streets at fashion week! Well, something must have worked in my favour - the last 2 shots in this post were featured in street style albums for Elle Australia and Cocktail Revolution! P.S. how cute is the squad rocking up to Carriageworks together (I'm talking about you The Fashion Heist / Pretty Dresses In The Laundry). Proof that you don't need to deck yourself out in designer threads to make the cut at MBFWA.

Oh and we should really talk about these boots as well... After lusting after them for so long and not seeing them in the Brisbane store (sad face) I took the plunge and ordered them online (wait, am I supposed to be saving?). Don't judge me. Seriously way better quality than I expected though, the leather is soft and they are in fact a lot more comfortable than they look. High street win.

Skirt: Dissh // Top: Forever New // Jacket: ASOS // Boots: Topshop // Bag: Oroton // Sunglasses: Karen Walker
