The winter staple made in Melbourne...

When I stumbled upon Allora Capes I was searching for the finest quality winter warmers for an editorial I'm styling (stay tuned). As soon as I saw it, I knew that I had to have a cape in this shoot. Better yet, I discovered that this lovely brand uses premium virgin wool and manufactures right here in Melbourne, Australia. They are actually super affordable considering their high quality and versatility!

In camel, black or grey, a wool cape is my newfound winter essential. With a knit underneath, the warmth I found was incredible, and I really feel the cold even though it doesn't even snow here (laugh away northern hemisphere dwellers). The best part - when the weather changes (as it often does on Australian winter days) from freezing to sunny, all you have to do is poke your arms out and undo the buttons - the perfect wind-proof alternative to wearing your coat over your shoulders. Not only that, the collar can be worn up (with buttons securing it giving you an extra cosy neck) or folded down.

It's safe to say I'm obsessed. Shop this beautiful cape right here and the whole look below.
