London Fashion Week: Navy Pinstripe Coat

Talking backstage work at Julien Macdonald, dressing Hailey Baldwin and how to pick an LFW street style winner...

Sorry for the hiatus people, this little trooper is completely exhausted (spot my overly-impressed-to-be-here face in the pictures above).

After hitting the ground running here in London-town, I was lucky enough to work backstage on the Julien Macdonald show and just casually got to dress Hailey Baldwin... no biggie. Julien's collection was a huge one with nearly 60 intricate pieces - it was a feat in itself to pull off and teams of people worked around the clock to make the show happen. Pieces were literally being sewn onto models backstage right before the show!

I myself didn't sleep pretty much for 2 days and didn't know which way was up by the time I got home. But fashion never stops and I can thoroughly say it was worth it for the insane experience working on my first ever London Fashion Week show.

Fast forward to a post-shower and sleep situation and I was ready to hit the streets to view some shows from the other side of the runway. I recently discovered a label called L.Yunjia and this coat caught my eye. Navy pinstripes are so classic that I felt the coat needed something a little extra... Cue shiny velvet booties - my favourite trend this season. Shop more velvet pieces here.
