Parisian Chic on the London Streets

Let's face it, there's nothing more Parisian than an all-black ensemble...

All the way from my home in Australia, this gorgeous silk slip dress has found its way to London Fashion Week. Amidst the eccentric styles of LFW regulars, I was craving something simple, minimalistic, comfortable. And what's more luxurious and on-trend than a black silk slip dress? Alas, I still didn't want to play it too much by the rules - the streets are filled with 90s-referencing young girls in white tees, mini slip dresses and chunky boots, in case you've been living under a sartorial rock.

No, I opted for a more grown up look, taking style cues from the streets of Paris, where it's celebrated to look just that little bit like you don't give a f*#k. I hadn't washed my hair in a while so up it went into a little pony, tied off with the matching silk neck tie that complements this lovely dress. Très chic. Add - turtle neck, because Toto, we're not in Australia anymore.

The last day of any fashion week requires flats, there's no 2 ways about it. After running around working backstage and attending shows, my poor little feet deserved a break. Oh yeah, and there's one thing about this city that just isn't heel-conducive: cobblestones. Rewind to November 2014 when I spotted Emma Watson's airport style and 'called it' that loafer-mules were the next big thing... Fast forward nearly 2 years and I don't even have to tell you that 'I told you so'.
